Of heavy gauge silver, in the usual double ended form,
the larger bowl verso initialed R over B*E
also inscribed below the larger bowl 90 = 10
   
Marks : Maker's mark Grimwade #2984, entered 1698
Maker's mark and date mark in excellent condition, cast over slightly to the right side;
Britannia and leopard's head slightly rubbed

 

Note : Marrow scoops were introduced about 1690.

   

Condition : Excellent; minor tiny scratches appropriate to age and usage

 

8-5/8" Long / 1.8 oz.
