Of ovoid form on a pedestal foot, well painted with alternating Long Eliza figures and panels of

blooming peony branches to the sides, the verso with an Artemisia leaf mark, .833 fine silver Dutch mounts,

dated 1852, fully marked, with maker's mark conjoined VK over 7A(?) (probably J. M. Van Kempen )

 

Condition: Excellent, with very minor small dent to silver lid side

 

Provenance: Philadelphia private collection
