The fig shaped bowl attached to a tapering hexagonal shaft notched at the bowl,
the nicely shaped baluster finial attached with a V-joint;
the bowl struck with a crowned leopards head;

the shaft with maker's mark WL in a shaped punch, date mark and sterling mark, the final unengraved,

 

Provenance : Descendant of William Beckford & The Dukes of Hamilton

 

Condition : Overall very good, marks very clear;

the bowl with several small dents and slight edge wear; expected minor nicks,

surface scratches and rubbing and wear to high points of baluster finial

 

6.5" Long / 1.6 oz.
