With excellent color, retaining original surfaces and mirror plate,
and having antique engraved brasses,
the revolving rectangular mirror with high shaped crest, the upper center with an antique brass fitting,
and supported by two burr walnut uprights surmounted by engraved brass finials,
above a miniature replica of a bureau, the fall front opening to a highly figured surface
and fitted with concave cubby holes and two highly figured concave drawers;
over a long cockbeaded drawer and two square supporting lopers*; raised on two bracket feet;
with functioning key
*Note : Square "lopers" (fall front supports) generally indicatd a dating prior to c1720.
However that can vary somewhat.
Condition: Excellent with wear appropriate to age and usage; old veneer repair to interior;
a small veneer patch behind each upright that does not seem to go through to the substrate;
veneer patch to crest top and fall front center;
at one time a handle was on the fall front exterior;
brasses at the top for an unknown purpose - possibly for an oil or potpourri pot
