Early George II Balustroid Cordial Glass, England, c1730

 

The simple and elegant glass of good weight,

having a plain round funnel bowl raised on a solid double stem with three knops :

a knop at the top, one mid-stem and a basal ball knop;

raised on a conical folded foot with snapped pontil

 

Provenance: Sotheby's London, 1965
