EARLY GEORGE III MAHOGANY DIMINUTIVE CHEST OF DRAWERS

Of excellent heavy timbers (possibly Jamaican) with original surfaces and rich color and graining,
the molded rectangular top over a case with four graduated cockbeaded long drawers,
each with the original brass bail handles and escutcheons,
raised on shaped bracket feet and a molded plinth,
each drawer lined with pages from

The Hull News, Saturday, November 23, 1861;

wonderful patination

 

Condition : Excellent; one tiny loss to cockbeading on the drawers;

nicks and scratches consistent with age and usage

 

32-7/8” High x 35-1/2” Wide x 17-3/4” Deep
