FINE EARLY GEORGE III CARVED MAHOGANY GAINSBOROUGH OPEN ARMCHAIR

 The arched shaped upholstered back over an upholstered serpentine upholstered seat with gadrooned seatrail edge, the padded curved arms ending in boldly executed acanthus-carved mahogany handholds descending into s-curved acanthus-carved supports, above square fluted front legs having carved leaf-form returns, the rear legs dramatically raked, raised on brass and leather casters
