Of very heavy gauge, with excellent color and patination,
the tapering drum beaker having a flared lip and narrow splayed footring,
decorated in wrigglework with commemorative portraits of
King William III and Queen Mary II of England,

each crowned with an orb above, and holding a scepter,
within a double dog-tooth (zig-zag) oval and below a band of stylized foliage;
touchmark to the verso :

crowned rose with initials 'A R' within the crown, flanked by M and M

Such beakers, featuring portraits of William of Orange and Mary II of England,

are usually in celebration of William's accession to the throne of England as William III, reigning 1690-1702.

Condition : The rim and footrim slightly mis-shaped through normal wear and use;
very clear decoration, without signs of repair
