TANG DYNASTY OCHRE GLAZED POTTERY BOAR

The recumbent boar with incised bristles on the neck ridge, and covered with a yellow ochre glaze,
characteristic of yellow glazes produced in Northern China during the Tang Dynasty, possibly Henan.
The boar was a symbol of wealth and good fortune in China at this time.
