In the Old English pattern with downturned tips and waisted shovel bowls, each engraved with the

crest of a unicorn’s head erased, armed and gorged with a collar invecked, (Fairbairn’s 73.1),

surmounted by the motto 'SALUS PER CHRISTUM' (Salvation Through Christ) (Christian),

porobably for John Christian Esq., M.A., of Ewanrigg Hall, Cumberland, and Milntown, Isle of Man

 

Condition: Very good to excellent; two with slight salt staining
