Of heavy gauge, a very quite fine straight set of 12 silver three-tine dognose dessert forks,
with upturned wavy ends, bottom struck, each engraved to the upside with a Gothic M;
highly regarded maker
Condition: Excellent; without wear to tines or blemish; crisp marks
Note: Dognose or wavy-end forks in this style were first introduced into England about 1703. Early 18th
century dognose dessert forks are extremely rare, even as single examples, and usually have very worn tines.
George Adams was considered one of the most important spoon makers of the 19th century.
