Very finely painted in one of the earliest famille rose palettes, combining the Imari iron red with famille rose enamels,

heightened with gilt, the center with a blooming lotus and fruiting vines among  birds, the cavetto and border with panels of iron

red fences before flora and with finely painted iron red scrolls and seed pod pulls, alternating with panels of chrysanthemum flowerheads;

the rim with a scroll border and flowerheads; brown dressed edges

 

Condition: Excellent; minor rubbing to enamels and gilt; one plate with three minor enamel flakes at 7:00 o'clock;

several expected minor frits to the brown dressed edges
