PAIR OF VICTORIAN ELECTROPLATED-SILVER MOUNTED BOTTLE STOPPERS
England, mid-late 19th century
Early electroplated silver on copper, each with a round finger ring, engraved and rubbed in black wax 'BRANDY' and 'WHISKEY',
over a stepped top and threaded screw though a long tapered cork, a threaded conforming cap fitting the lower end of the cork.
Condition : Good, with minor exposure to the copper below (visible in the images);
corks aged and dry, one with crumbling to the end; would benefit from replacing
3.5" High, through the base
