FINE PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER BUTTER ESCALLOP SHELLS

Each of escallop shell form, the pierced flat handle with scrolling foliate rims overscrolled with wheat-husk festooning

and centering a raised oval suspended medallion crested with a lion passant, raised on three whelk feet

 

Condition : Excellent, with several minor pin-point sized dents to one shell; expected minor surface wear;

good marks to each with very slight rubbing

 

6.5” Long x 5” Wide /  6.8 oz.
