PAIR OF VICTORIAN SILVER EARLY GEORGIAN STYLE TAPERSTICKS

A good pair of silver tapersticks, made for holding a wax taper, in the George I / George II style  

with knopped and baluster stem above a stepped square base with incurved corners;

marked on footrim, foot verso and in candlecups;  loaded

 

Note: Tapersticks are rarer than candlesticks, and usually found as singles. 

 

Condition: Very good; good marks to foot rim, foot verso and candlecup; several small dents appropriate to age and usage
