Member: American Watercolor Society; Artists Fund Society.

 

Comments: Best known for his tightly-rendered pastoral landscapes of New England, often featuring a country cottage by a stream or pond.

However, he also he painted shoreline scenes from New Jersey to Newport (RI) to Cape Ann (MA) to Maine. He traveled widely, also painting

along the England"s Cornish coast, Brittany and Normandy, and Venice during the 1880s.
