 GOOD PAIR of GEORGE III THREE-RING CUT GLASS DECANTERS

England or Ireland, c1800-1810

 

 

 

Of the “Prussian” shape, each neck with a wide cut ring to the opening, above a slice-cut neck and shoulders,

the necks with three annulated neck rings, all above a band of diamond prism cutting and two bands of finely-cut fluting; retaining the original cut bulls eye stoppers; lightly polished pontils; light footrim wear

 

Condition : Excellent, with no apparent chips or cracks; some slight clouding to the interior of the left example;

the stoppers of different lengths, but engraved "16" and "17"
