England, c1785, Of Jacobite Interest
Each bucket form bowl engraved with a "jaybird in flight" (James II in flight), the verso with a concave 5-petaled Stuart rose and a single bud with leaves, above a facet cut knopped stem above a plain conical foot; snapped pontils
Condition : minor spot of abrasion to the top rim of one; the other with a minor scuff to the edge of one of the stem facets; good wear to base consistent with age otherwise good condition
