Of dense heavy Cuban mahogany, the concave crestrail with scrolls curving into a solid vasiform splat sided by shaped stiles
extending into chamfered legs; the veneered compass seat rail with drop-in seat, and raised on handsome foliate- and shell-carved
front cabriole legs ending in squared ball and claw feet, the ball with small web to the top, the carving extending far down the leg
Condition: Good, rich older finish; several old repairs to areas as follows: shrinkage crack to splat veneer at crest rail with
associated repair; patch to right stile verso and to center splat veneer; reglueing and several minor patches to apron veneer's
