Of oval form with hinged lid, engraved with shell-bordered hearts, fish scale and lattice bands on a stepped foot,
the lid also with engraving and a silver knop
Marks: I. Newton in a heart (recorded 1726); other marks rubbed or misstruck
Condition: Original engraving rubbed through polishing; one dent (easily removed if desired) to front center;
otherwise good and without repairs
