GEORGE II SILVER SUGAR BOWL

 Of heavy gauge silver, the deep round bowl with a folded rim and raised on a circular foot

 

Note: This is an early form of sugar bowl, introduced c1730.  Sizes ranged from about 4” to 8”. 

Prices vary as to size, but all early sugar bowls are quite sought after.  Cooke & Gurney registered their mark in 1727.

 

Condition: Excellent with several very minor dings

 

 2 ¾”H X 4 1/4"D,  5.7 oz.
