EARLY GEORGE II SILVER LEMON (PUNCH) STRAINER

Maker’s mark in Gothic rubbed, London, 1739-40

This strainer was stolen from our Memphis, Tennessee shop during February 2008, along with a Paul Storr sauce ladle,

King's pattern, 1820-21, with a crest removal to the terminal.  Should one or both of these items be offered to you for sale,

Of very heavy gauge, the round deep bowl finely pierced and sided by 2 applied gadrooned handles, the sides engraved D over L.S

 

Condition: The joint of one handle with good silver solder repair verso; expected minor dents; otherwise excellent

 

6” over handles, 3 ½” bowl width

 

 3.3 oz.
