GEORGE II SILVER & CARVED ABALONE SNUFF BOX

The oval unmarked silver base, sides and hinged cover centering a rocaille-carved abalone mount depicting

an escallop shell sided by two open-mouthed fish, opening to an interior with original silver gilding

 

Condition : Excellent for age and usage; some expected fine surface scratches;

a small repair to the cover and a small chip to the abalone

 

1/2" High x 3” Long x 2-1/8" Deep
