The assembled set of 8 George I/II fancy back and front die-cast teaspoons in the Hanoverian pattern, the handles die-cast with a

figure of a haloed Diana with her bow and bounty within an elaborate rococo cartouche, the bowl versos with shells,

or with shells and scrolls; 4 scratch-marked E.F to the terminal

 

Note: Three spoons are by Jane Lambe, who registered only two marks, 1719 and 1722, and worked only from 1719-1732. 

Her work is rare and very sought after. 

Evan Thomas registered his mark in 1735 (Grimwade #643).

 

Condition: One with minor bend to bowl; one with remains of gilt (Lambe); two with indiscernible marks;

most marks partially struck
