by a lion’s head erased; each lid and body hallmarked
Condition: excellent with no damage or repair to silver or ivory; strong hinges; good marks
Note: A pair of John Scofield monogrammed silver tea caddies, London,1790-91, is in the collection of the
Metropolitan Museum of Art.
