Of helmet form with beaded upper rim and reeded ear form handle, above a pedestal foot resting on a square base

 

Note: Jonathan Bateman worked for only a few months,

registering his first mark in December 1790, and dying of cancer in April, 1791.

 

Condition: Overall very good; small crease or repair to rim interior, but not through the beading (possibly in manufacture),

foot slightly out of level at one corner;  several very minor use dents to body
