The butter server with a triangular spade-shaped blade crested to both sides, one side reading "Pro Rege Lege Grege"
(For King, law, people – Brougham, Ponsonby) above an arm in armor embowed, in gauntlet a lucy, on elbow a rose;
a baron’s coronet engraved verso; green-dyed wooden handle.
Condition : Excellent & without repairs; first initial of the maker’s mark rubbed; other marks slightly rubbed but legible;
minor scuff to the blade; the handle with one vertical crack consistent with age and material
