M. FORD CREECH ANTIQUES

GEORGE III MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS

England, c1765

The well figured mahogany chest with original finish and gilt brasses, having a rectangular molded top over two upper

drawers and three graduated drawers, resting on nicely shaped original bracket feet

Note: Period Georgian chests with original finish and brasses are getting harder and harder to find.  In addition the wood

figuration on this chest is excellent and well matched. The patina glows.

Condition: Excellent!  Beautiful color and patination to the original finish; a small shrinkage crack to the base of each side;

two posts and screws to brasses replaced; gilt worn from brasses
