Of heavy gauge silver, in the George II pistol-handled form,

the cast haft with scrolling acanthus leaf to the end and

 at the ferrule, the arched pierced blade with curved tines;

haft and blade fully marked, the haft on both sides at the ferrule

 

Note:

This server is mentioned in Antique Silver for the Dining Table, Rabinovitch.

 

Condition: Excellent, with crisp marks and original gilt; small nick to blade end, visible in the photo

 

10.25" Long / 5.6 oz.
