RARE DERBY MOLDED CREAM BOAT

England, c1760-65

 

 

 

 

 

 

The body with delicate lattice molding, each side with molded blue leaves, fruit and flora, the interior

 with a central floral spray, a flowerhead at the lip, and a further floral spray at the handle, trellis

diapered inner rim, the molded and knopped loop handle with scattered leaves and flowerheads

 

Condition: Rim, footrim and glaze chips as visible in images; firing flaw to the interior, as shown; kiln spit
