CHINESE EXPORT QUATREFOIL TEABOWL & SAUCER

Qianlong, c1750

With applied flowering lotus blooms and buds with sinuous tendrils and dots, painted in underglaze blue,

each piece with a central lotus flowerhead surrounded by cell diaper borders -

 the saucer to the outer rim, the teabowl to both the upper and foot rim

Condition: Excellent; two minor firing spots and a tiny rim firing flaw to the teabowl; 

some fritting to the saucer rim; application in excellent condition

Saucer: 4 7/8" Diameter; Teabowl: 1 5/8"H
