A rare Charles I Salisbury provincial silver seal top spoon, maker unidentified; the rounded bowl with
squared shaft, visible joint to the baluster shaped terminal with seal top;
the top stipple engraved W S Y 1664
Mark:
Salisbury, 1640-1650, (see Jackson’s page 272)
Condition: Very good; lightly rubbed around edge, light patina to surface
and expected scratches;
no repairs found; bowl worn slightly thinner to left side; seal top slightly rubbed with traces of gilding
