The flattened rectangular box with hinged lid and oval ends, the lid and base with a cast perpetual calendar with the months,
and days as a combination of letters and numbers, among various nature, household and implement symbols;
also inscribed at the ends, "RUNSTAFWEN FÖRSWENSKAD 1787. 4/1"
("Runstafwen" - a rune rod with a Swedish calendar based on the Greek calendar)
and "EN BESTÄNDIG ALMANACH G: NORRMAN" (perpetual calendar, and probably the maker)
Condition: Excellent, of heavy gauge metal
