SILVER-MOUNTED CARVED HORN SNUFF BOX
Scottish, or possibly Continental, 18th Century



The oval lidded box with fluted sides and a thumb grip, the lid and verso each carved with a seated
ibex between trees and before mountains, the rim with unmarked silver mounts gilded to the interior
Condition:
Very good to excellent with normal softening to the details of the lid carving, the carving verso quite crisp;
wear consistent to age and usage of the silver mounts
2” High x 2-7/8 Long
